Deals of desire
With an ask to bring consumers to the Walmart website every day in November during their various deals event, we knew the only way to keep consumer attention was to entertain, surprise, and continuously switch things up.
So we created “Deals of Desire”: a series of long-form dramatic episodes that switched genres and revealed new celebrity talent each week.
But we didn’t only create a fake television series. We also created a fake mockumentary -style content series taking viewers behind the scenes of making the “show.” We used TikTok royalty Jake Shane to play our Production Assistant and fill digital feeds with supporting BTS content for each big moment in Deals of Desire.
The Making Of Deals
Of Desire
Before the show launched, we teased the series in a mockumentary-style “behind the scenes” with the king of TikTok’s himself, Jake Shane, playing our “production assistant.”
Social and behind-the-scenes content with Jake dropped during every ‘genre’, to continuing the drama online.
Vampire
We started our series in the most dramatic of genres, the soap. Lissa Rinna started us off with a bang. Playing not only herself but her evil twin as well.

Historical Drama
We heightened the deals intrigue with stunning historical episodes, featuring Anthony Ramos as a stable boy (and heartthrob) who inherits a Walmart+ membership.
Western
When the second wave of deals went live, so did Walton Goggins as our out-of-towner villain.
Sports Ep2
Secrets are revealed and tensions mount as the Badgers prepare for the big game. Will Ryan play ball? Or will he answer the call of the theater.
Sports Ep1
On Black Friday, we entered the world of sports as Taye Diggs and Chad Michael Murray butt heads over who is to lead the Badgers football team to victory. But Coach’s son his hiding a dramatic secret.

Cyber Monday
A shocking crossover from Walter Goggins ties our western world to this one. And our epic deals journey comes to an end on Cyber Monday, with a final speech from Chad Michael Murray that got the team on their feet and put tears in our eyes.
